At Taking Back Balance NC, we are a community-rooted organization committed to supporting underserved populations across North Carolina. We offer housing assistance, resources and referrals, consultation services, and enriching community events to individuals of all ages. Our mission is to ensure that every person—regardless of their circumstances—has access to stability, support, and a path toward personal growth.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our community by providing compassionate, community-rooted assistance that supports dignity, independence, and improved quality of life for the underserved demographic across North Carolina. 

• Housing Assistance – Affordable, safe housing for those in need.
   
• Resource and Referral Services – Connecting families and individuals to medical, mental health, educational, and financial resources.
   
• Consultation Services – Individualized support to help navigate systems and secure services.
   
• Community Events – Activities focused on wellness, social connection, and education.
   
• Support Across Lifespan – Services designed for children, youth, adults, and seniors.
   

We believe in the power of partnerships and work hand-in-hand with local organizations and community businesses to resolve challenges and expand our impact:

• The Virtuous Women of God Ministries – A faith-based group that provides counseling, spiritual guidance, and emotional support.
   
• A Child’s Hope Home Care Service – Offers in-home care for families and support with housing needs for medically fragile individuals.

• A Child’s Hope Multi Unit Housing –  provides safe, affordable housing and in-home care support for families and individuals in need.
   
• The Young Visionaries – A youth-focused mentorship initiative helping young people achieve personal and academic goals.
   
• 2DG Life Event Center – Supports our outreach through space for community events and therapeutic recreation programming that enriches lives.

• The Best Business For Consulting Help – Offers personalized notary and consulting services to help individuals and small business .

• Over 326,000 extremely low-income households face limited affordable housing options.
   
• More than 50% of counties are designated medically underserved.
   
• 14.6% of residents experience food insecurity, with children and seniors among the most affected.
